ERZIA congratulates Stefano Vitale, this year’s recipient of the Tycho Brahe Medal. The medal recognizes his leadership of the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) Pathfinder mission. The award, bestowed by The European Astronomical Society, acknowledges the mission’s extraordinary success proving the technology required for the gravitational wave observatory planned to be launched in 2034.

Wideband HPA (WHPA) Delivers 37 dBm Consistently from S- through K-band

Innovatively Powered AOTFs Help a Spectrometer Transmit Eye-opening Data from Mars

Spectrometers employing acousto-optic tunable filters (AOTFs) are rapidly gaining popularity in space, and in particular on interplanetary missions. According to a paper published by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, “they allow for reducing volume, mass, and complexity of the instrumentation and are used for analyzing ocean color, greenhouse gases, atmospheres of Mars and Venus, and for lunar mineralogy. The AOTFs are used in point (pencil-beam) spectrometers for selecting echelle diffraction orders, or in hyper-spectral imagers and microscopes.”

The NOMAD instrument, with ERZIA amplifiers on board, makes a great discovery in Mars’ atmosphere.

In 2014, ERZIA delivered RF Driver Amplifiers for the NOMAD instrument for installation on the Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) of the ExoMars mission. The mission was launched in 2016 and NOMAD began science operations in 2018.

Wideband high power amplifier consistently delivers 40 dBm from 32 to 38 GHz

Model ERZ-HPA-3200-3800-40 has been designed to offer microwave system design engineers working on Ka-band applications reliable and consistent output power across the entire band of operation. In addition to 40 dBm of dependable power, this microwave amplifier also boasts 49 dB of gain.

Mr. Francisco Canales and Mr. David Díez appointed as new Managing Directors of ERZIA Technologies SL.

ERZIA Technologies announced today that it has selected Mr. David Díez and Mr. Francisco Canales as the Managing Directors of the company effective July 1st, 2020.
Mr. Luis García, CEO and founder of ERZIA, will no longer be both CEO and MD; he is handing over this last responsibility to two key members of the organization. Mr. Díez will be focused on the Aerospace & Defense business and the RF & Microwave technology areas. Mr. Canales will concentrate his energy on Operations and Finance as well as the VSAT/MSS businesses of ERZIA.
