19 May 2008- ERZIA wins ESA Tender within a consortium LED by LuxSpace.
ERZIA Space will design the electronics required to adapt standard mobile phones to receive emergency signals from satellites of the MAIA project: Mobile Alert Information System Using Satellites.

10 December 2007- GRUPO TIRSO joins the board of shareholders.
ERZIA Technologies has welcomed the investment of the GRUPO TIRSO, a new major shareholder within the firm. The GRUPO TIRSO is a 60 year old spanish enterprise group that strongly believes in the future of the company and has joined forces to help consolidating ERZIA Space as a european reference in high performance RF systems for Space.

18 April 2007- ERZIA receives contract for development of UAV communications.
ERZIA Technologies has received a contract from AIN, Spain, to develop a long range radiocommunication system for unmanned helicopters. The helicopters will be used by Spanish main electrical power supply to monitor and perform maintenance of high voltage electricity towers. ERZIA's communication system will allow to transmitt real time high quality video streaming along with telemetry and telecommand data.

The former company name ERZIA Technologies is changed to ERZIA Space and a new logo is innagurated.

New Satlabs Satellite Link Emulator supplied to VeriSat (No) for Nemko Laborotary.
A new Satellite Link Emulator has been supplied to VeriSat (Norway) for integration into the DVB-RCS Common Test Bed to be installed at Nemko Laboratory (Norway). This equipment will be used as backup to test bed installed at Cetecom (Germany) for the certification of DVB-RCS terminals compliant to Satlabs Recommendation.

Directly derived from the expertise in satellite link emulation adquired from the design of satellite link emulators for the European Space Agency (ESA) the SLE-4000 is a standard low cost equipment that allows testing off-line satellite links and space payloads.

SODERCAN provides capital risk financing round.
SODERCAN a company of the Government of Cantabria, Spain, provides 70K € capital risk funding to foster ERZIA's presence in the European Space Market. After considering the company activites already on-going within the LISA Pathfinder Program, SODERCAN decided to invest in ERZIA in order to help increasing the company business in the European Space Sector.

ACV Consultans from Spain adquires 5% of ERZIA shares and joins to the General Managenement Board. ACV provides top level management to SME companies and help in driving the company strategic lines by joinning and influencing the General Management Board.

New clean room facilitity inaugurated.
A new class 1.000 clean room facility has been inaugurated that will be specifically dedicated to the manufacturing and testing of RF space electronics. Thanks to its highly cleanliness class, the quality assurance requerided by ECSS standards for space product manufacturing will be assured. The new facility has been supplied by CleanAirProducts (US).

ERZIA will build SSPA power amplifies for LISA Pathfinder satellite.
A contract aggrement has been received from Contraves Space AG (Switzerland) for the design and manufacturing of two RF power amplifiers. The amplifiers will be integrated within the Acousto Optical Modulation Unit (AMOU) of the LISA LTP package under development by the European Space Agency (ESA). The LISA Pathfinfer satellite is intended to be launched in 2008.

Contract received for the development of a Police remote control communication system.
The contract received from Proytecsa (Spain), will allow ERZIA to foster its activies into the security and unmanned vehicles markets. The communications system will allow police robots to be wirelessly controlled from long and non-line-of-site distances, with a telemetry a control link and broadband link for payload transmission.

Bluetooth for Space
ERZIA Technologies signs a contract with the European Space Agency (ESA) and Contraves Space AG (Switzerland) for the development of Bluetooth technology for satellite wireless intra-communications. The activity has the aim of substituting cable harness by radio links inside satellites and spacecraft, a major mass contributor. On the other hand, radio links will help to llower integration time and risks.

ERZIA signs an aggrement with Globalcom-Insa, Orbcomm's representant in Spain, to develop specific application solutions based on Orbcomm.
The aggrement will allow ERZIA Technologies to develop and commercialize terminals, systems and services based on the Orbcomm satellite. The terminals will mainly serve industrial monitoring and remote control applications including eolic generators, water management and remote data acquisition.

ERZIA receives Satellite Link Emulator contract by the European Space Agency
ERZIA Technologies will develop a DVB-RCS Satellite Link Emulator (SLE) for the European Space Agency (ESA). This emulator will be part of the Common Test Bed for Satlabs Group compliance of DVB-RCS terminals, currently under development between ESA and the Norwaian company VeriSat. The SLE will emulate real life satellite links by generating specific Eb/No ratios and losses to the signal coming from the DVB-RCS Terminals. Virtual Reality proyect
In the frame of EQUALCAN program, sponsored by Sodercan, ERZIA has started working in a virtual reality proyect in collaboration with research groups of the University of Cantabria (Universidad de Cantabria). ERZIA will contribute mainly in aspects concerning the design and technological consulting of information and communication technology. At the same time, ERZIA will adquire knowledge in techniques and procedures of Civil Engineering, to develop products to this sector.

ERZIA opens its new location in CDTUC
ERZIA Technologies opened it's new location in the Technological Development Center of the University of Cantabria (CDTUC), managed by Leonardo Torres Quevedo Foundation.
Due to this new location, ERZIA is placed physically within the main center of R&D activities in the areas of Information and Communication Technologies, in Cantabria (Spain).
